Welcome to my blog!
I started Holistically Lizzie to help busy mums supercharge their health, look amazing & raise healthy kids on a plant-based diet.
I’ve been in the health, fitness & nutrition movement for over 15 years and have trained as a Holistic Health & Nutrition Coach, Yoga Instructor, Personal trainer, Strength & Conditioning Coach & Sports Coach *Blimey*

 

MY BACKGROUND

 

To say that I LOVE health, fitness & nutrition is an understatement.
I have quite literally been obsessed with all things healthy since I was a teenager. When other girls where reading gossip mags I was the one trying about herbal remedies 😉
I have been relatively slim my entire life but I wanted to feel and look AMAZING. However, I always found diets too hard. I hated feeling any restriction and did not have the willpower to refuse a good slice of cake.
I never liked that conventional diets left me bored, starving and obsessed with food. I tried EVERYTHING going but I never really changed shaped. I gained a few pounds I lost a few pounds but overall I was still the same.
Finding joy in exercise helped in mental clarity but made no difference in how I looked (which, for the life of me I couldn’t figure out why)
To be a good nutritional advisor to others, I always thought it was important to see the good in ALL nutritional theories- even from experts, I didn’t agree with. It was my mission to see what they thought was the ‘BEST’ diet, try it and be able to transfer that knowledge to others in an easy-to-digest way.
I was typically ‘skinny fat’. Slim but with no muscle definition and not exactly a picture of health. I suffered from severe depression & anxiety, chronic acne, bloating, TERRIBLE periods & potential infertility.

 

WHERE I AM NOW 

 

Fast forward 15 years, endless courses, clients, recipes & workouts later – this blog was born.
Not only do I follow a diet with ZERO restriction but I am healthier, leaner & happier than I have ever been.
I am also a mama to the most beautiful girl 🙂 wife to a fantastic hubby and living the dream as an expat in Abu Dhabi
To me, being a good role model and rising my family to be healthy, vibrant people is the single most important part of my life.
The other is teaching other busy mums just like you how to do the same (minus the 15 years of hard graft!)
